What is a Doula?
​
A doula that has completed proper training, helps clients through the emotional, physical and educational roller-coaster that is pregnancy, labour and birth. The Birth Doula's purpose is to empower her client to have her best birth possible and supports a client in WHATEVER they choose for their labour and birth. During an emergency C-section a mother can feel scared, lonely and even frustrated or angry. A doula can be a great help to be there for her throughout the process. Dpi;as don’t perform medical procedures at all and work with any birth, albeit natural, epidural or C-section.
