ABOUT WE REMEMBER OUR BABIES

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is a worldwide initiative, held every year on the 15th of October. Due to her work in the perinatal bereavement field and as a loss mother herself, this cause is VERY close to Nicci Coertze from NCOT's heart.  Because the whole world has been turned upside down due to the Coronavirus and because there is so much uncertainty regarding the next few months, NCOT has decided to commemorate our babies with an on-going online event this year to honour Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

Donations will be accepted for pregnancy and baby loss related non-profit organisations in South Africa like The Hope Box Initiative, The Angel Gown Initiative and smaller charities/NPO’s.

As one of South Africa's most experienced Bereavement Doulas and having assisted many, many couples going through pregnancy or baby loss, the 'We Remember our Babies' idea is Nicci Coertze's 'heartchild'. However, the motivation behind the 'We Remember Our Babies" drive is her own angel babies.  Although no two experiences are ever the same, Nicci has suffered baby loss herself and she has been through many infertility treatments –this enables her to have a unique perspective on loss. She wanted to do something special this year for all loss parents to remember their babies.
