Setting in the west, the sun quits its light-giving fight
And the firefly slowly, deliberately starts to awake
Her whole being eagerly flickers in anticipation
Hoping against hope for a pitch-black, dark night
Because this firefly knows that she knows for sure
That it’s only in all-engulfing, terrifying darkness
That her little light will shine the brightest bright
